FILIARMI’S AW24 COLLECTION FUSES 1930’s STREAMLINED SILHOUETTES WITH CUBIST-INSPIRED COLOUR PALLETES
For Autumn Winter 24, Filiarmi offers a juxtaposition of strikingly cut shapes and colours with delicate design to accentuate the female form. Cabaret's sensuality and quest for abstract runs throughout the thirty styles, with ruffled details, mesh hems and a trend for the exposed decolletage enchanting each silhouette.
Filiarmi's eternal reference, Jean Arp, continues to inspire Founder and Designer Gozde Arig, whether seen in the brand's signature scalloped wave of Arp's abstract curvature; offering contemporary yet timeless finish. Arig has also taken homage from Sonia Delaunay's use of vibrant colours, most poignantly found in Delaunay's Prismes Electrique, prividing depth and bold hues of Klein Blue, Lime Green and Burnt Orange.
Brand defining touchpoints and best selling styles continue to feature in AW24, including Roma Jumpsuit, reinvented in a brigt blue, and the Nora Gown, an elongated spin of the beloved Diana Dress. The collection also sees the return of Filiarmi's scalloped v-neck shapes from SS22 in Agnes, Brialle, Cherry and Genesis, and a nod to AW22's Fanny Gown neckline in Brandy, Amber and Blaze.
AW24’s production will run alongside Filiarmi’s Signature collection, all locally manufactured in the brand's atelier in Istanbul. With a growing team of in-house cutters and seamstresses, Filiarmi now oversees the full production process, reusing old styles and their respective fabrics from previous collections, whilst continuing to run small batch quantities with a mindful, made-to-order approach.
About Filiarmi
Introducing Filiarmi, a refreshingly on-trend cocktail meets evening-wear brand from Istanbul. Filiarmi aims to empower women with its contemporary, feminine, and effortless styles that use colour and shaping to enhance and celebrate the female form.
Filiarmi was founded in March 2020 by Gozde Arig who inherited her creative nature from her parents, with her father being an international award-winning caricaturist and her mother owning a textile company. Growing up in such a creative environment Gozde developed a passion for art and design at a young age. In 2011 Gozde graduated from London College of Fashion and went on to train under Emilia Wickstead and Charles Anastase. Using this experience to hone her skills, she decided to go out on her own and launch her own brand; Filiarmi was born.
